Fun Stegosaurus Fact:

As well as eating plants, stegosaurus supplemented its diet by intentionally swallowing small rocks. The rocks would have helped the stegosaurus to digest the vegetation in its stomach by moving around in there and helping to break up the foliage.

The stegosaurus has always been one of my favorite dinosaurs, and this crochet pattern just proves it. This chunky boy was an absolute joy to make, full of personality and a lot of work. I’ll admit, my arms started to ache about halfway through, but it was totally worth it in the end. The soft texture, his little spikes on his back, and that adorable face make this project one of my new favorites. If you’re looking for a fun, slightly challenging prehistoric pal, this stego is definitely the one!
